1. Go to settings and press "Location and Security":
2. Press "Set screen lock"
3. Choose between "None", "Pattern", "PIN", and "Password" from the list. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will choose "PIN". For me this is the better way to lock the screen as the PIN can be typed easily and fast compared to password.
5. Confirm your PIN and press OK.
6. That's it. You now have a PIN for your Samsung Galaxy Y. To confirm if the PIN has been done correctly, press the power button to lock the screen then press it again to open. You should see similar to the screenshot below.
You can just repeat the process if you want to change your PIN or the method, either "None", "Pattern", or "Password".

ReplyDeletetanong lang po, kabibili lang ng anak ko ng galaxy y. problema hindi nya mai set up yong facebook pag click nya yong market laging nadi disconnect at cannot reach raw yong server ng google. may smart wireless connection kami sa bahay. kaya wi fi gamit nya. tanong lang kung saan problema? nkaka browse naman sya sa internet gamit CP nya thru wi fi. salamat....
Para ma-access nya ang android market kailangan po naka-login sya using his/her google account. Kung properly logged-in naman po sya at nadidisconnect pa rin check nyu po kung wifi or 3G cellular connection ang ginagamit ni galaxy y. Kung via 3g po kasi minsan intermittent ang signal. Make sure po na wifi gamit nya.

Hi aiya, i-long press nyu lang yung shortcut na gusto nyung tanggalin then click on "remove" sa pop-up na lalabas sa bandang baba ng screen. ganun lang yun kadali. Thanks for dropping by.

ReplyDeletedoon sa videocall kapag yahoo messenger ang gamit ko , Nakikita ko naman sya kaya lang hindi fullscreen, natatakpan ng cam ko ? paano ba ireplace yun or ifullscreen yung cam ng kavideocall ko?
wala kase ako makitang settings na pede icustomize yung cam eh .

Deleteganito din problem ng samsung galaxy y ko? pag ba pinasok mo ung gmail dapat naka-on ang wifi at/or packet data? paanu kung naka off ung use packet data at wifi ko? can i turn it on habang naka lock xa?

ReplyDeleteHi. download ka ng "keepsafe" app sa google play (dating android market). with that you can set a password for your pictures and organize them in folders. I use it and is highly recommended.

ReplyDeletehi there... i've just bought samsung young a week ago. and i found it consumes the battery power so fast. i should re-charge it for about once in two days. is it normal? and is it true that android phones, any kind of it, consumes lots of phone bills? because that's what i feel.

Hi. Based on what you said, your phone's packet data or mobile internet access is turned on. With the packet data turned on, it will consume all your phone load or it will make your phone bill very high if you are on a postpaid plan. What you have to do is turn off the packet data by going to settings, wireless and networks. You should see there packet data with a check mark across it. uncheck it by tapping it once. You should only check it if you need to access the internet using your mobile's 3G capability. That up down arrow with an H, 3G or E is the indicator that your phone is currently online and you are being billed for it without your knowledge. Cellular networks are robbing their clients thru this by selling you the phone with the packet data access turned on by default. To conserve your battery, turn off your wi-fi, bluetooth and GPS as those are the primary users of your precious battery juice.
